Anchorage, Alaska

The matcha
& mochi place.

Two little shops, one warm room. Aloha Mochi pounds fresh mochi on one side; Pualani whisks ceremonial matcha on the other. Built by a few friends who missed the islands.

made fresh

Every morning, from scratch.

Chi chi dango pounded and cut by hand. Butter mochi baked before the sun's up. Nothing sits on a shelf.

real matcha

Ceremonial-grade from Uji.

Stone-ground and whisked to order — no syrups, no dust. Just bright, grassy matcha the way it's meant to taste.

a warm room

Built for the long winter.

Two little shops, one warm counter. Come thaw out, share a plate, and stay a while.

our story

A little aloha, way up north.

We're a few friends who grew up on mochi after school and matcha before sunrise. Anchorage winters are long — we figured the town could use a warm room, a whisk, and a mallet.

"The mochi is unreal and the strawberry matcha ruined all other matchas for me."
